Last updated: May 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Namma Guide collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use our website, contact forms, WhatsApp support, calls, or paid advisory support.

Data fiduciary notice

For the purpose of Indian digital personal data protection law, Namma Guide is the data fiduciary for personal data that you voluntarily share with us for civic guidance and support. Namma Guide is operated as an individual or sole-operator advisory service unless a different legal entity is expressly displayed on this website.

Information we collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide, such as your name, phone number, location or area, issue type, property or service category, application status, acknowledgement details, document-readiness details, messages, screenshots, and payment or transaction references. We may also receive basic website analytics such as device, browser, page visits, and referral information.

Purpose of processing

We process personal data only for lawful and limited purposes connected with your request, including understanding your issue, responding to you, preparing checklists, explaining portal steps, coordinating paid or free support, maintaining service records, processing payments, resolving complaints, preventing misuse, improving website content, and complying with applicable legal obligations.

Consent and user control

By contacting us or sharing information, you give free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous consent for us to process that information for the requested support. You may withdraw consent for future processing by contacting us. Withdrawal may limit our ability to continue support, and it will not affect processing already completed or records we must retain for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute, or service-record purposes.

Your DPDP rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to information about how your personal data is processed, correction of inaccurate data, completion or updating of data, deletion of data that is no longer needed, grievance redressal, and nomination of another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity. To exercise these rights, contact us through the Contact page or WhatsApp link with enough details to identify the relevant request.

Your duties when sharing data

You must provide accurate and authentic information, avoid impersonation, avoid suppressing material information, avoid filing false or frivolous complaints, and avoid sharing personal data or documents belonging to another person unless you have lawful authority. You are responsible for ensuring that any document, screenshot, or message you send is lawful for you to share.

Documents and sensitive information

Avoid sending originals, unnecessary identity numbers, passwords, OTPs, payment card details, or unrelated documents. If document review is required, share only the minimum necessary copies or screenshots. Where possible, mask non-essential personal information before sending documents.

Sharing and processors

We do not sell personal information. We may use service providers such as hosting, analytics, messaging, payment, email, storage, or security tools to operate the website and support service. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, government authority, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, or to protect our rights and users.

Cross-border processing

Some third-party tools used for hosting, analytics, messaging, payments, email, or storage may process data outside India. We will follow applicable Indian restrictions on transfer of personal data if and when such restrictions apply to our processing.

WhatsApp and third-party platforms

If you contact us on WhatsApp or use third-party portals, those platforms process your data under their own terms and privacy policies. Do not send confidential information through any channel unless you are comfortable with the risks of that channel.

Retention

We retain records only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, service continuity, tax or accounting records, legal compliance, dispute handling, fraud prevention, or legitimate business records. You may request deletion, but deletion may not be possible where retention is legally or operationally required.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including limiting access to support records and avoiding unnecessary collection. No website, messaging app, email, payment system, or storage method is completely secure, so you should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Personal data breach

If we become aware of a personal data breach affecting your personal data, we will take reasonable steps to assess, contain, and respond to it. Where required by applicable law, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected users in the prescribed manner.

Children

Our services are intended for adults and persons lawfully able to request civic guidance. We do not knowingly provide services directly to children. If information about a minor is shared, it should be shared only by a parent, guardian, or authorised person and only where necessary for the requested support.

Grievance and privacy requests

For privacy questions, correction, deletion, nomination, grievance, withdrawal, or breach-related requests, contact us through the Contact page or WhatsApp link. Please include your name, phone number, relevant conversation or transaction reference, the nature of the request, and the action you want us to take. We aim to acknowledge and review genuine requests within a reasonable time under applicable law.
