SIR 2026 State Schedule: Draft Roll and Claims Dates

What date applies to your State?

SIR 2026 does not have one deadline for all of India. The Election Commission of India (ECI) issued a grouped calendar for 16 States and three Union Territories. A later notice from a State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) can change that State's dates without changing the others.

Use the latest official notice for your own State or Union Territory. The table below records the ECI calendar reviewed on 26 August 2026. Karnataka is shown with its later CEO Karnataka revision; the other rows retain the ECI-issued dates unless a newer official notice is cited here.

These dates describe publication and claims stages, not a promise about an individual record. If your State publishes a later revision, follow the newer official notice.

What to do based on the current stage

The draft roll is published and claims are open

1. Download or search the official draft roll.
2. Compare your name, relationship, age, Assembly Constituency, Part, serial number and polling station.
3. Save the relevant page or note the Part and serial number without sharing it publicly.
4. If the record is missing or wrong, use the official claim or correction route shown for your case and State.
5. Keep the acknowledgement and recheck the final roll after publication.

The claims period shown above has ended

Do not assume nothing can be done. Check for a later official extension, contact the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), or call the voter helpline at 1950. Ask which current electoral-roll service applies; do not backdate or submit guessed information.

The draft is not yet published

Complete the live enumeration or BLO route if it is still available for your State, save the acknowledgement, and return after the official draft-publication date. Submission alone does not replace checking the draft.

How to download the draft roll step by step

1. Open ECI's official Download Electoral Roll page.
2. Select your State, Year of Revision, and the roll type that explicitly identifies the applicable SIR draft.
3. Select the District, Assembly Constituency, and Language.
4. Complete the captcha and load the available Parts.
5. Choose the correct polling Part and download the PDF.
6. Open the PDF and use Ctrl+F on Windows or Command+F on a Mac when the PDF contains searchable text.
7. Search carefully using your name and spelling variants. Compare the full entry rather than relying on a name match alone.

If a State-specific link with a stateCode query opens a blank white screen, return to the base download page, select the State manually, and continue. Refreshing, trying a private window, or switching browsers may also help when the portal is busy.

Alternative: search by EPIC or registered mobile

Use ECI's Search in Electoral Roll service when you want to search the current database by EPIC, elector details, or the registered-mobile option shown by the portal.

Finding your name is reassuring, but it is not a “safe-zone” guarantee. Check the constituency, Part, serial number and polling station, then check again after final publication. Never share an OTP, Aadhaar number, full EPIC number, or unmasked electoral-roll page with an AI assistant or an unofficial helper.

Common mistakes

• Using a forwarded graphic without checking its State and publication date.
• Assuming Karnataka's revised calendar also changed Delhi, Maharashtra, Telangana or Punjab.
• Searching only one English spelling when the official record may use a State-language or alternate spelling.
• Treating an acknowledgement or draft match as guaranteed final inclusion.
• Filing a new-registration form when the actual task is correction or shifting.
• Waiting for the final roll before reporting a draft omission during an open claims period.
